Where we have housing now

Housing in 4 cities.

Furnished rentals near worksites, hospitals, and campuses — built for travel nurses, clinical rotators, students, and contract workers who need a real place for the length of the term, not a hotel room. Search any city below to see what's available now.

The part other sites get wrong

Get the most out of your housing money.

A staffing agency sets your weekly stipend. Financial aid covers room and board. An employer publishes a per diem. Or maybe you're just paying monthly for your new rental. However that money reaches you, it's yours to put your money to good use — so every listing shows whether the place fits under it, so you can keep more of what you've earned instead of doing the math at midnight.

Untaxed weekly housing allowance from your staffing agency.

Who's staying

Different reasons. Same problem.

Whether it's a Med student on a ten-week rotation, a travel professional on a 13-week contract, a lineman working a temporary assignment, a student attending school, or someone looking for a long-term rental, Homes Away From Home helps renters find housing that fits the length of stay they need.

College students & interns

Semesters, quarters, co-ops, summer internships, study-away terms. Rent a room instead of a whole unit, with housemates verified the same way you are.

Clinical & field rotations

Nursing, med, PA, and vet students on 8- to 16-week placements, plus student teachers and field-season researchers.

Contract & travel workers

Travel nurses and allied health, linemen, welders, turnaround crews, rail and pipeline, film and production crew.

Relocating and displaced

Between a sale and a closing, a new job before the family moves, or an insurance claim while the house gets rebuilt.

Military & government TDY

Temporary duty and PCS gaps, measured against the published per diem lodging rate for that location.

Rentals for your new home

Whether you're looking for a long-term home, relocating, starting a new job, attending school, working a temporary assignment, or simply looking for a new home and a fresh start, Homes Away From Home helps you find a rental that fits your needs.

How it works

Search, message, then verify to pay.

Browse listings and message owners freely — no account needed to look. You only verify your ID once, before you send a payment.

1

Verify once

Government ID and a selfie match, same as you'd do for a bank. Optionally add an assignment letter or enrollment verification to earn an affiliation badge owners can see.

2

Search by campus or worksite

Type the university, hospital, plant, or job site. Results sort by distance to that entrance, not to the middle of town.

3

Verify & pay

When you're ready to book, verify your ID once with a government ID and selfie match. The owner sees your verification, stay history, and reviews before accepting — and payment is only released after you're both verified.

For owners
$149$74.50First listing half off for the first year only, then $149 after that. Plus 3% bank / 5% card on each rent payment. Every fifth listing free.

Airbnb takes 15.5% of every booking. We take 3% on bank and 5% on card — and for that we collect rent and release it to your bank through Stripe when the renter pays. No hold, no waiting period. Deposits are collected with the first rent payment in a single charge and transferred to you with the rent. You hold the deposit and are responsible for returning it to the renter per the deposit terms you set on the listing. Homes Away From Home is not a party to the rental agreement. Renters and property owners are responsible for resolving matters such as property damage, missed payments, lease violations, and other rental disputes directly between themselves. Suspected fraud, serious misconduct, safety concerns, or violations of platform policies may be reported to Homes Away From Home for review. Homes Away From Home may, at its discretion and in accordance with its Terms, warn, restrict, suspend, or remove accounts that violate platform policies.
